Exceptions to the Signaling Squelch Unmute Rules are possible. The exception time, which may be timed or manually-selected, is known as the Release Squelch State. It is defined by a Conventional Personality’s (ASTRO or Non-ASTRO) Select Call / In-Call Reset field selection, or a Trunking Personality’s ICUA Reset field selection.
